Centre Philosophy
All Aboard Child Care welcomes all children from infancy to school-age. We believe every child is a unique individual and we embrace the diversity that our children and families bring. We dedicate ourselves to providing a safe, happy and stimulating environment for children where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially at their own pace.
We believe children learn through play and benefit from a structured yet flexible schedule. Activities are offered to stimulate sensory motor development, language development and social interaction. The development of strong self-esteem and a sense of belonging are also major goals in all of our day to day interactions. We encourage children to try new things, ask questions, explore ideas and discover themselves. We pride ourselves in making sure children and families feel a sense of connection as we value communication and collaboration in all of our programs.
Infant/Toddler Program
Infants and toddlers have their own unique temperament and developmental path. It is very important to follow that path by providing consistent routines in a safe and comfortable environment. Each child is cared for in a warm and affectionate manner, individualized to the child’s particular needs and personality. Children will experience a variety of activities designed to stimulate all five senses through play, sound and movement.
3-5 Year Old Program / Preschool Program
Preschool years are a time of great cognitive, emotional and social development. During this age a child’s world expands and our play-based philosophy encourages interest, curiosity and eagerness to explore the world. Whether your child attends our full-day 3-5 year old program or our part-day preschool program, our goal for these programs includes developing a sense of belonging and contributing to the community of the group. Each child’s personality, individuality, independence, confidence, compassion and positive self-image will shine as they participate – taking turns, problem-solving, expressing opinions, listening to others, showing empathy, caring for themselves, their belongings and others. Opportunities are provided for learning and development as the programs follow the needs of the children’s interests – both individually and as a group.
School-age Program
Our School-age program is a welcoming place for fun, friendships and exploration. We offer a balance of activities that provide a creative, educational and recreational experience for children 5 to 12 years of age. Full-time care is available during (PD) professional development days, spring break and summer. During these full day programs, we offer special activities, guest speakers and community outings.
